Nature MIYAGAWA is a fully private cottage and villa resort nestled in the nature of Hida. Because there are no on-site staff, you'll enjoy a truly undisturbed, peaceful stay.

Forest Villa

A private villa surrounded by forest. Includes an indoor sauna for a fully immersive nature experience.

Stone Villa

A rustic stone villa with a dog-friendly option. Features a stone sauna to warm you from the inside out.

Shared Facilities

Sauna

Using the Sauna

Forest Villas have an indoor Finnish sauna; Stone Villas have a stone sauna. Experience authentic sauna in the crisp Hida air.

Sauna

Before You Start

  • · Turn on power and preheat to 80–90°C (30–45 min)
  • · Hydrate well before entering
  • · Use the provided sauna towel

Löyly (Steam)

Ladle water slowly onto the sauna stones to create steam. Aroma water is also available.

Cool-down

After your session, relax in the outdoor chairs on the deck. Experience "totonou" under the Hida stars.

BBQ House

Using the BBQ House

Enjoy charcoal grilling in our covered BBQ house with fresh Hida ingredients.

How to Use

Pick up charcoal at reception

Visit reception during staff hours (8:00–17:00).

Set up and light the grill

Wait 15–20 minutes for the charcoal to turn white before cooking.

Cook and enjoy

Ingredients are available at our Nature Shop farm stand.

Clean up

Fully extinguish charcoal and dispose at the designated spot. Clean and return all equipment.

Irori House

Irori Hearth House Rental

Experience the traditional Hida irori hearth culture. Gather around the fireside and slowly grill fish and vegetables over open flame.

Starting the Fire

  • · Start with thin kindling, then add larger logs
  • · Fire starters are available at reception
  • · Plenty of firewood is provided

Grilling

Skewer fish and vegetables and prop them beside the hearth for slow, even cooking. Try iwana trout or local vegetables from our farm stand.

Sort and dispose of garbage at the designated area

Confirm BBQ and irori fires are fully extinguished
Turn off A/C, lights, and ventilation

Garbage Sorting

Sorted garbage bags are provided. Please separate into: Burnable, Non-burnable, and Recyclables (cans, bottles, PET bottles). Dispose at the designated garbage area shown on your in-room guide.

Late Check-out

Late check-out (until 12:00) is available as a paid option (¥3,300/villa, tax incl.). Please request via LINE by the previous evening. Subject to availability.

House Rules

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are 21:00 to 8:00. Please refrain from loud voices, outdoor music, and fireworks. Residential homes are nearby.

No Smoking

All villas and facilities are non-smoking. Use designated smoking areas only. Indoor smoking will result in a cleaning fee (minimum ¥50,000).

Pets

Pets are permitted in the Stone Villa dog-friendly room only (dogs only). Pets are not permitted in any other villa.

Fire Safety

Always supervise fires at the BBQ and irori hearth. Confirm all fires are fully extinguished before sleeping or leaving.

Guests Only

Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Day visits are not allowed.

Parking

Parking is available for each villa. Please drive slowly on the property and avoid idling.

Staff Hours

Staff are not on-site overnight (support hours: 8:00–17:00). For after-hours inquiries, contact us via LINE. Emergency contacts are in your in-room guide.

Damages

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the facility or equipment during their stay.

Payment

Accommodation fees are paid in full online at the time of booking via the reservation platform. On-site cash payment is accepted only for optional add-ons. Credit cards are not accepted on-site.

Pet Policy

Eligible Pets

Dogs only (cats and other animals not permitted). Small dogs (under 10kg): up to 2 per villa. Large dogs (over 10kg): 1 per villa. The pet add-on option must be selected at booking.

Health Requirements

Valid rabies vaccination certificate and combined vaccination record (5+ types, within 1 year). Flea/tick prevention treatment required.

In-Villa Rules

Diapers required indoors. Leash required outdoors. Pets must be crated if left unattended. Please manage barking and noise.

Damages

Guests are fully responsible for any damage caused by their pets, including cleaning and restoration costs.

Villa use: Guests use the villa at their own responsibility. Quiet hours from 21:00. Maximum occupancy must not be exceeded.

Reservation refusal: We may decline bookings that do not meet our terms, or in cases of force majeure, capacity, or violation of public order.

Termination: We may terminate the stay contract if guests violate house rules, engage in dangerous behavior, or exceed occupancy limits.

Liability: Our liability is limited to the amount of the basic accommodation fee paid.

Lost items: Items left behind are held for 7 days, then reported to the nearest police station.

Parking: Parking spaces are provided as a courtesy. We are not liable for vehicle damage except in cases of our negligence.

Self check-in is available at any time after 15:00. Complete the Airhost web check-in in advance and use your PIN code. For early check-in (from 13:00), an additional fee of ¥3,300/villa applies — please contact us via LINE in advance.

The sauna is exclusively yours to use between check-in and check-out, except from 21:00 to 8:00 out of consideration for other guests.

A supermarket is about 15–20 minutes away by car. We recommend stocking up on groceries before arrival. Our Nature Shop farm stand also sells fresh local produce and specialty items (8:00–17:00).

Contact us via LINE as soon as possible. We'll notify you when we find it. Postal return is available at the guest's expense. Items are held for 7 days.
